Introduction
Innovation, this single term has become the buzzword for organizations all over. But similar to words like love, freedom, creativity, passion; the term innovation is as subjective as they get. Our journey at riidl Somaiya Vidyavihar, of discovering what innovation meant for us started in late 2010. It began with understanding the existing situation at Somaiya Vidyavihar and the aspirations of the huge, thriving community on the campus. With a population of approximately 27,000 students, faculty,and researchers, it took us well over a year to finally discover our meaning of innovation and what should we do to make innovation and creativity a part of what we do on campus. Wewanted to do things that were useful, out of the box and co-creative. We wanted our work and philosophy to be valuable to the community within the campus and also the creative community in the city and the world!
We completed approximately 3.5 years in the Somaiya campus and we initiated several projects in our campus.
